Processing

Last Thursday was the opening of “Processing” the exhibition curated by Jack Welsh and put together as part of Look13 Liverpool’s PhotoFest at the Cornerstone Gallery in Hope University, it was well attended and thanks to everybody who came. We exhibited a selection from our “Triangulation” series and although The Conerstone is not a conventional gallery with long runs of white walls, we found working with the space a stimulating challenge. All seemed to agree the work looked good and fitted the space well. We did print one panorama quite big and hung it on the wall unframed. When we show the work again we may print them all this size. We extracted lines of Kenn Taylor’s text and displayed this above the work to reinforce the notion of a linear walk.

We had to explain to a few people ( who maybe hadn’t read the accompanying text on the wall and in the free newspaper !) what the relationship was between the single photographs of the trig points and the panoramas, but most people seemed to understand.

The show is on until September 29th and open at the weekend, after a nod to the security guard.
